Yield: 3 cups
What you need
¼ cup tomato paste
1/3 cup honey
½ cup apple cider vinegar
1(15 oz.) tomato sauce
¼ cup molasses
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 teaspoon liquid smoke (For gluten-free sauce make sure the brand of liquid smoke is certified GF)
I tablespoon Worcestershire (For vegan sauce, make sure the brand of worcestershire sauce is vegan)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Cayenne powder (optional
Total time: 30 minutes
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
- Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer while uncovered for 2o minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- You can use the sauce immediately or refrigerate.
