What you need:

 ¼ cup of cornstarch

½ cup baking cocoa

1 cup sugar

½ teaspoon salt

4 cups of milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

What you need

 ½ teaspoon vanilla

Dash salt

5 bananas

½ cup sugar

1/3 cup flour

3 eggs yolk

2 cups milk

1 box nilla wafers



  1. Put a layer of wafers in a mixing bowl, place a slice of banana on top of the waver and repeat that to have 3 layers of alternating wafer and banana slices.
  2. Place sugar, flour, eggs yolk, milk and salt in a sauce pot on medium heat and stir well with wire whisk. Allow to cook for 15 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
  3. Add in vanilla and stir.
  4. Pour immediately the wafers and bananas and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving. You can dress with meringue.

1 lb ground beef, 60% chuck, 40% brisket ( this is optional)

2 teaspoons of dried basil (1 teaspoon  fresh)

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

2 cans of tomato sauce (15 oz)

1-6 ounce can of tomato paste

1 can of diced tomatoes (15 ounce each)

1/3 cup fresh parmesan cheese (grated)

1 tablespoon brown sugar

Salt and pepper to taste.

1 red bell pepper (minced)

1 yellow bell pepper (minced)

½ cup of minced onion.

4 cloves of minced garlic

1 teaspoon of onion powder


Total time: 30 minutes

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes.

  1. Put olive oil and butter on a sauce pan over medium heat.
  2. Add meat as the butter melts and cook till the meat is barely pink.
  3. Add onions, peppers and garlic. Stir regularly and cook for about 3 minutes until tender.
  4. Add the seasonings, tomato sauce tomato paste and diced potato and continue stirring.
  5. Add the parmesan and brown sugar as you continue stirring.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Allow to simmer for at least 10 minutes. You can do it longer to have the flavours to combine better.

  2. Add butter in small chunks and mix with paddle until crumbly.
  3. Mix eggs, vegetable oil, whole milk and vanilla extract and whisk together with eggs, and have this as a mixture B
  4. Add 1/4 of mixture B to mixture A until moistened, place the mixture in an electric mixer and increase speed to medium high and mix for 2 minutes.After mixing, the cake batter will turn light and fluffy and lighten in colour.
  5. Add 1/2 of remaining mixture B and continue mixing on low speed and Scrape bowl.
  6. Add remaining mixture B and mix until combined. After combined, turn speed up to medium for 30 seconds.
  7. Bake at 335º in a prepared pan for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the centre.

  • strawberries , hulled and halved (100g)
  • pineapple chunks (100g)
  • 8 seedless grapes
  • 2 kiwi fruit (peeled and cut into chunks)

  • 2 teaspoonful Lime juice

  2. Spray a 13″ x 9″ cake pan with non-stick baking spray containing flour and set aside. You can also use two 8″ round cake pans.
  3. Transfer one portion of the cake mix into a large bowl.
  4. Using a spoon make a hole in centre of mix and add vanilla, oil, eggs, and milk.
  5. Place the mixture in an electric mixer and beat the mixture for one minute, at a slow speed until blended.
  6. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl increase the speed of the mixer to medium and beat 2 minutes longer at medium speed until batter is smooth.
  7. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pans and bake the layer cakes at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes for the 8” cake and 25-35 minutes for the 9″ x 13″

You can know if the cake is cooked if the cake springs back when pressed lightly in centre and begins to pull away from edges of pan

  • 11/2 cup butter ( cold)
  • 15 cups sifted flour

  • 9 cups sugar


Total Time:  25 minutes

  1. Mix, in a big bowl, flour, salt, sugar and baking powder and have them blend.
  2. Take two cups of the flour mixture and together with small pieces of butter place in a food processor bowl for two minutes.
  3. Cover and process until the mixture is very fine, to ensure butter is well distributed in the flour mixture in order for the cake to have an even texture.
  4. Stir the remaining wheat flour in the bowl using a wire whisk.
  5. Divide the cake mix into three equal portions by scooping the mix into measuring cups and levelling off with the back of a knife.
  6. Place each portion into a quart glass jar or heavy duty zip lock plastic bags. Cover tightly and store in the refrigerator for up to a month, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
