What you need:

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 6 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons sherry, dried
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • ½ cup celery chopped
  • 4 teaspoons oyster sauce
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • ½ cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil, divided
  • ¼ c up unsalted dry-roasted cashews, chopped
  • ½ cup chopped onions, green
  • 2 minced garlic cloves


Total time: 25 minutes

Prep – 15 minutes

Cook -10 minutes

  1. In a large bowl, mix the chicken with 2 teaspoons soy sauce and 1 tablespoon cornstarch. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. In a small bowl combine the remaining soy sauce, 1tablespoon cornstarch, chicken broth, and honey and oyster sauce.
  3. In a non-stick skillet heat ½ tablespoon oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the chicken mixture to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  5. Heat the remaining ½ tablespoon oil in the skillet then add red bell pepper, celery and onion, sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add ginger and garlic paste. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the chicken mixture and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Stir-in the broth.
  7. Bring to boil, stirring continuously.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Sprinkle with green onions and cashews and leave it to cool.

6 teaspoons of extra virgin oil

1 1/2 teaspoons of hot paprika

Freshly ground pepper

Kosher salt

3 cups of plain yoghurt

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

21/2 cups crispy rice cereal

Cooking spray

4 cups bagel chips

4 bunches scallions

8 ounce skinless, bone-in chicken breasts ( about 6 ounces each)


Total time -55 minutes

Prep -15 minutes

Cook – 35 minutes

  1. Pre heat your oven to 475 °
  2.  Place a rack on a foil-lined baking sheet and coat it thoroughly with cooking spray.
  3.  Using a food processor grind the cereal and the bagel chips to a fine texture. Transfer the mixture to a plastic reseal able bag.
  4.  Add 6 teaspoons of oil, hot paprika, black pepper and 2 tablespoon of salt.
  5.  In a shallow bowl whisk the mustard with 1 cup of yoghurt.
  1. Add the chicken pieces to coat evenly. Then transfer to the bag and seal.
  1. Place the chicken on the prepared rack and coat with the cooking spray.
  1. Mix the scallions with the remaining olive oil and place them beside the chicken.
  1. Now bake till crispy. Bake for about 30 minutes, at this point of the thickest part should read 160 °

Yay! We are having chicken again! Chicken breasts are so tasty and when cooked the right way they will leave you salivating for more. I’m going to take you through one of the most interesting chicken breast recipes- a simple grilled chicken breast recipe.

Yield: 4-5 servings
What you need:
2 crushed garlic cloves
4 halved chicken breasts skinless and boneless.
Kosher salt
Black pepper which is freshly ground
¼ cup of vegetable oil

Total time – 55 minutes
Preparation –15 minutes
Cook – 45 minutes

1. Mix the crushed garlic with the vegetable oil in a small container. Use a fork to mix to help release the garlic flavor.

2. Season the garlic mixture using salt and black pepper to your preferred taste. Let the mixture sit for around 15 minutes.

3. While you wait rinse and dry the chicken breasts well. To make your chicken breasts uniform locates the ridge along the side and pound gently to even thickness. In case you find a sharp triangular tip cut it and discard it. Slice off any jagged edges.

4. Add salt and black pepper to the chicken and allow sitting for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.

5. Now preheat the grill to hot.
6. Use the garlic infused with oil to brush the chicken breasts. Then place them on the pre-heated grill. Ensure that the thicker side is close to the hottest (normally the back) part of the grill.

7. Allow to cook for 4-5 minutes undisturbed. Cook till char marks are seen.

8. Keep turning the chicken while ensuring the the thickest part of the chicken breasts is close to the hottest part of the grill.

9. Cook the chicken till when an instant read thermometer reads 155 degrees F.

10. Place the chicken tender on the grill and let to cook each side for 4-5 minutes.

11. Remove from the fire and allow the grilled chicken breasts to sit for approximately 5 minutes covered in aluminum foil before serving.

You can serve your grilled chicken breasts with a dipping sauce of your choice.
